Danny Poulin, vocalist for local Boston hardcore band Lions Lions, will be stepping down after two years with them.

Poulin’s decision to pursue other interests is not reflective of the band as a whole. According to the band’s myspace, “Lions Lions has long stood behind the motto that you should always follow your heart and pursue what makes you happy, and we wish Danny the best of luck in his life and future.”

The remaining members, guitarists Brandon Davis and Van Truong, bassist Jon Kay, and drummer Phil Bjorkman, have said that “Lions Lions has definitely become a way of life for us [and] we feel that we are not finished delivering our message to the world.”

Poulin will continue to play with Lions Lions while they search for a new vocalist, including two upcoming shows in Allston on Tuesday, January 26th and in East Boston on Saturday, January 30th. Locations and times for these shows are posted on the band’s myspace.
